About Us

The University of Pittsburgh's Women’s Fastpitch Softball Club is an organization whose purpose is to provide non-varsity female athletes with the opportunity to play softball at a collegiate fastpitch level. This club has been created to allow those who have played softball previously to continue to pursue playing softball at a competitive level without the pressure of playing on a varsity squad. It allows players to play the game they love with other people that love it as much as they do. This club provides an environment that is accommodating for the development of a team atmosphere both on the field and off.

2015 Tryout Information

Tryouts will be held on September 12-13. They will be held on Mazerowski field, across the street from Posvar Hall. In the case of inclement weather, we will move to the Cost Center. Please check email and social media for updates.

Saturday's tryouts will be held in the Cost Center.

Saturday, September 12*:

12-1: Pitchers & Catchers

1-3: Infield

3-5: Outfield

Sunday, September 13: Scrimmage will begin at noon.

*Please arrive at least 15 minutes ahead of your tryout time to allow for putting on cleats and stretching.

Additional Information

The University of Pittsburgh will be holding an Activities Fair on August 30 from noon-3 PM. Club Softball will have a booth and officers will be in attendance. This is a great opportunity to learn more about Club Softball!

Open field practices will be held Tuesday, September 8 and Thursday, September 10 on Trees Field from 5-7PM. This is NOT considered tryouts, just time to shake the rust off after a long summer. It is highly encouraged to attend if you are interested in trying out.
